Ms. Kathleen Bowman - Cello, Knoxville area<br />
Trained in the Suzuki Method, Kathleen Bowman offers private cello instruction designed to develop and foster the musical ability within each student. Students enrolled in the Bowman Cello Studio participate in private lessons, group classes, and performance opportunities each semester. Students as young as three and four years old are welcome. Lessons are designed to create a positive learning environment and involve the parent in the learning process. No experience necessary. She has over five years teaching experience and a commitment to excellence in teaching.</p>
<p>Mr. Jamie Hackney - Percussion, Knoxville &amp; other locations according to student needs. Mr. Hackney is currently accepting all levels of percussionists on instruments of all types including snare drum, drumset, timpani, xylophone/marimba and orchestral instruments. He will start with the basics and find out what the students goals are and work with that student to achieve above and beyond those goals. He holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education and a Masters degree in Percussion Performance. He has 7 years of teaching experience. $20 half hour and $35 for an hour. (Price may be negotiable). Ms. Alicia Keener - Viola and Violin, UT Campus<br />
Pricing: $10 for a half hour, $15 for 45 minutes, $20 for full hour.</p>
<p>Alicia Keener is currently pursuing a Bachelor&#8217;s of Music degree in Viola Performance at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She began her musical studies on violin at age 5 and began viola in high school. Her teaching style is influenced by the Suzuki Method and includes scales study, etudes and technique-building exercises, and ensemble and solo repertoire. Students of any level and age are welcome. Ms. Ayca Yayman - Oboe, Knoxville (Studio at Rush&#8217;s music- both Cedar Bluff and Chapman Hwy locations)<br />
Pricing: $20/half-hour, $30 for 45 min, $40 for hour lessons.</p>
<p>Teaching style- Curriculum includes scales and technique exercises, Barret oboe method, attention to orchestra music and solo works, and sometimes reed-making.<br />
Ms. Yayman is an Oboist and frequent English horn player with the Knoxville Symphony, the Oak Ridge Symphony, Missouri Symphony, and several surrounding orchestras in TN and Alabama. Has 13 years experience playing professionally and teaching oboe. Contact info: ayca9000@aol.com</p>
